The most important prohibited goods, especially for transport by motorcycle

Liquids

In general, sending liquids by motor courier is prohibited. The main reason for this is to prevent the accidents due to the breaking of the liquid glass and causing troubles for the sender. Leaks of liquids such as pickles and liqueurs can have unpleasant effects on the package delivery system and therefore are not allowed at all. The second reason, which is no less important than the first reason, is the material inside the packages. Due to the illegality of alcohol in Iran, these substances are also considered as postal bans.

Animals

Animals and living things are also among postal prohibitions that cannot be carried by motor courier. There is no exact law for this and it is observed only as an unwritten law by logistics companies. Unfortunately dogs, cats and other lovable pets are also part of prohibited postal items.

Foodstuff

Foodstuff is the most harmless part of this list, and unfortunately cannot be shipped by public logistics companies. Because these materials are sensitive to storage conditions and are left for a certain period of time before being sorted and delivered to the motor courier, they are more likely to spoil. Especially proteins, fruits and vegetables that must be stored at a certain temperature. Food spoilage prevent it from being handed over to the couriers.

Heavy & Big Parcels

Packages to be delivered within the cities must have acceptable size and dimensions. Acceptable dimensions are those dimensions that fit inside a motorized courier box. The box of motor couriers is usually cubic and will fit packages that measure a maximum of 45 cm each side. The maximum acceptable weight for each package is 25 kg.

Valuable Items

Prohibited postal goods also include very expensive goods. Goods such as mobile phones, laptops and other digital goods that are expensive cannot be sent using the postal service or motor courier. These devices need insurance because of their valuable nature, and because insuring such merchandize bears many problems, only few logistics companies are willing to take responsibility for them.

Disclaimer

Prohibited items will not be accepted under any circumstances if they are visible and identifiable. However, if the contents of the packages are not announced by the sender or the contents are prevented from being seen in any way, responsibility will be abdicated from the couriers and the sender will take full legal responsibility.
